Save an Instagram
Reel to Where Next.

Found a date idea, a restaurant, or a weekend trip in your feed? Here’s exactly how to get it out of Instagram and into your Where Next collection, in about 10 seconds, without leaving the app.

Works the same for Instagram & TikTok.

Find something worth saving

Open Instagram like you normally would. When you land on a Reel that makes you think “we should do this,” that’s your cue: a restaurant, a hike, a bar, a day trip, anything.

No need to write anything down or remember it later. Where Next will do that part for you.

Tap the Share icon

Below the Reel, tap the paper-plane Share icon, the same one you’d use to send the Reel to a friend in DMs.

This opens your phone’s normal share sheet. Where Next doesn’t need any special access to Instagram to work.

Choose “Where Next”

Your share sheet pops up with a row of apps. Find Where Next; if you don’t see it right away, tap More to reveal the full list, and tap it.

TipIf you share to Where Next often, drag it earlier in the row (iOS: tap “Edit Actions” in the More list) so it’s always one tap away.

Let Where Next do the rest

Where Next opens on its own and gets straight to work: watching the Reel, then figuring out the place, the vibe, and the details worth remembering. It usually takes just a few seconds.

You can close the screen any time; it’ll keep saving in the background and be there when you check back.
